Parko
Part 4 of our review!
Sorry that I did not posted yesterday.

Today, we will take a closer look to the multimedia capability of the Pro 5, including gaming performance, audio and a camera test.

Lets start with something easy. Parko, a simple 2D game.
As expected the Pro 5 is not stressed at all. Actually you can literally feel how underworked the Exynos 7420 is.

Plague Inc
Similar has been noticed with Plague Inc. So I thought it was time to raise the bar and look for something more complex.

Real Racing 3
This is where Real Racing came into my mind. But unfortunately it did not have the wished effect either. The CPU seemed to be idle, even though the phone got slightly warm after playing for 10 minutes.

But what else would you expect from the worlds 2nd fastest smartphone?

So I thought it would be time to take a look at the speakers of the Pro 5.
As seen in Part 1 of my review the speakers are 4 simple holes.

However, these “4 simple” holes deliver an asthonishingly clear sound. Only the bass could be slightly better, but that would be moaning on a high level. Responsible for this result are the ES9018K2M DAC chip and OPA1612.

HiFi Settings
Additionally you can find extra HiFi setup possiblites in the settings.

Basically there is nothing to complain about from a performance perspective.

Lastly we will take a look at the Camera. Therefore I took a few sample shots, nothing to spectacular.

I took all the images in low light. Overall the results are satisfying, but nothing outstanding either. What I acknowledge positive is the fast shutter speed of the Pro 5, just like the various options to take pictures (manual mode).

The only thing which directly came to my attention though is the lack of a flash light for the front camera, which can be found at many Huawei devices for example.
It might be a discussable feature, but for a price of ca. 470€ (including taxes and shipping) I would call it “expectable”.

Overall I am positively surprised by the Pro 5 and its performance, just like features. But there are also downsides, which I will present tomorrow in my final resume.
