Surpisingly Meizu unveiled a new device again. But instead of following a proper number system, Meizu decided to create a new series. The "M" one, but not the M4 as you would expect. Its the M5. For approximately 94€ (699RMB) it features a MediaTek MT6750 octa core powered by 2GB (16GB) or optionally 3GB(32GB) of RAM. As all previous m-Series devices it can be extended over a microSD slot. The front camera is equipped with a f/2.2 lense and 5 megapixels, while the back has 13 megapixels and a f/2.0 lense.

The battery capacity is around 3070mAh, which should be more than enough to power the 5.2 inch screen with its 720p resolution.

Furthermore it is the first Meizu device to be sold with a black back cover. Besides that it is also sold in gold, mint blue, blue and white.

mTouch and 4G are of course not missing either.

All in all the M5 seems like a nice looking device with solid specs. However, not a lot has been changed compared to its presuccessors.
