Surprise, surprise! The m2 metal we all have been thinking of turns out to be the m3s.
According to the official specifications the m3s will feature a 5 inch, 2.5D curved 720p screen, equiped with a Mali T860 GPU in combination with a 1.5GHz MediaTek MTK6750 eight-core CPU powered by 2GB (16GB storage) or alternatively 3GB (32GB storage) of RAM.
Furthermore the device features a 13MP rear and 5MP front camera with a dual tone LED flashlight. Former one uses a f/2.2, 5 part lens with phase-detection autofocus, while the later one is a simple f/2.0, 4 part lens.
The whole thing gets rounded up by a 3020mAh battery, which should have more than enough juice for the power efficient MTK chip.
A little highlight is the VoLTE support, just like the fingerprint scanner powered by mTouch 2.1.
Like all m-Series devices the m3s’s aluminium housing will also be available in several different colors, which do include gold, silver, grey and pink.
But what shall this thing cost?
As of now Meizu announced a price of 699RMB (95€) for the 16GB version or 899RMB (125€) for the 32GB one.
Unfortunately there were no announcements made towards a global release of the device.
