Finally it took place – the m3 note launch!
As Meizu announced the m3 note would be a long lasting beauty in a full Aluminum alloy body.
Overall the m3 note seems to be quite an interesting device, featuring a 4100mAh battery (so far the biggest one ever used by Meizu), a 5,5 inch 2.5D FHD screen with 403PPI, just like a Helio P10 powered by 2/3GB of RAM. The whole package is getting rounded up by VoLTE support, featuring support for 18 frequencies and 6 modes, though as of now it is unclear if it will feature Band 20 support.
Furthermore mTouch 2.1, a 13MP rear-camera and 5MP front-camera are included.
For the 2GB RAM (16GB storage) you have to pay 799RMB, which is around 125$ and 155$ for the 3GB one (32GB storage). Compared to the m1 metal, which has a quite similar performance this is still 100$ cheaper. Just like its predecessors the m3 note targets to be affordable for “everyone”. Just like the m1 & m2 note, the m3 note will be available in different colors. However these are limited to gold, grey and silver-white only, but then again you would have to admit that green aluminum would look somehow strange.
So how long is it going to take to get a m3 note? According to Meizu the first units will already be available on the 11th of April in China. A global release date hasn’t been announced so far, but it is very likely to follow around 2-3 weeks after the Chinese date.
