As Meizu promised before on their official WeiBo account, Meizu finally released Flyme 3.6.1A this morning! Being based on Android 4.4 KitKat, the MX3 is Meizu’s first device to get the latest version of the mobile OS from Google. From now on, Meizu will divide their firmware releases into ‘stable’ and ‘test versions’. Flyme 3.6.1A falls into ‘test versions’ so you can may expect slightly compromised stability compared to the previous firmware (Flyme 3.5.1). To explain it in short, ‘test versions’ will have a high priority in terms of implementing new features and bug fixes. Updates are released in short time span and are perfect for those who love to try new features. On the other hand, the ‘stable’ firmwares will be the factory default firmwares and have been gone through more extensive testing to guarantee higher stability. You can find the new firmware in our form via the ‘Source’ button below.
