The Meizu MX4 was not the only thing that was announced on September 2. In fact the inWatch Pi was also announced. It might not be a real Meizu product, but the inWatch Pi is a smartwatch specifically designed for use with the MX4. The smartwatch is waterproof and supports up to 6 months of standby time. Its screen is made of sapphire glass and has a diameter of 35mm. The strap is made of leather and is 14mm. Although not based on Android Wear, the inWatch Pi does more than just display the time. It can display ‘intelligent’ notification reminders and has advanced sport management functions.Even sleep quality can be measured. The device communicates via BLE4.0 and saves its data in the cloud. It comes in three different colors: black, silver and gold. At least 4 different strap colors will be available as well. The inWatch Pi costs 399RMB (€50, 65USD) or 199RMB (€25, 30USD) if you purchase it together with an MX4.
